My work consists of installations, videos, and performances using textiles, found objects and domestic imagery; a construction that mixes personal narratives with pretend beings and spaces.  I am interested in the intersections of fantasy and reality.  Where is it that the interior and exterior worlds meet up, and how that meeting is perceived.

Often the installations are structures that the characters I am working with inhabit.   The spaces are very tactile and at first glance may make the viewer desire to crawl inside and be absorbed, but I hope that upon spending more time with the work, that the space reveals it is not for them but for an absent being.

I gather materials from free piles, trash/recycling, and hand me downs.  I try not to use new items partially because of finances but mainly from an ecological point of view.  By that I mean, “recycle, reduce, reuse” but also the interconnectedness of humans and the physicality of human stuff.

I am interested in patterns, multiples, how objects/furniture/stuff are placed in space, riding bikes, repetitive motion, and the moment when you snap out of daydreaming.
