March 26 - April 30, 2012

ESCAPE GROUP is a collaborative endeavor by Anthony Romero, Jillian Soto, and any number of past, present, and future participants. From March 27th through April 30th we will be focusing on and around fast and slow systems of communication, performance, and architecture by executing a three-part project that includes an installation, online radio program and a series of public lectures. ESCAPE GROUP has begun building a structural environment in the gallery based upon a dormant building design known as the Oblique Function. Resisting traditional orthogonal building methods, they are reorienting the space by building with diagonal planes.

PLEASE JOIN US FOR THE FOLLOWING PUBLIC PROGRAMS:

SATURDAY APRIL 7: JOIN US IN THE GALLERY FROM NOON - 3PM FOR A BLOODY MARY BAR AND INTRODUCTORY EVENT.
Doors open at noon, with lectures following at 1pm. Lectures include Dan Quiles, Anthony Romero and Jillian Soto. Sliding Scale: $5-10. All Proceeds help to fund the cost of the residency.   

FRIDAY APRIL 13: JOIN US IN THE GALLERY FOR A SERIES OF RESPONSES BY SARA BLACK, CASSANDRA TROYAN, AND ADAM ROSE. Admission is free and open to the public. Program begins at 6:30. 
 
RADIO PROGRAM: Throughout the residency we will be recording and broadcasting from the gallery on Tuesdays and Fridays from 6pm-8pm. Two episodes per week will be recorded and available for download via the threewalls webpage from March 30th through May 1st. 

PODCASTS:

Over the next five weeks, ESCAPE GROUP will be uploading podcasts made from their research in the gallery. Each podcast presents a new collaborative moment and expands upon the initial research.
