Sarah Trigg is a photographer and painter based in New York. For the past two years, she has been photographing and writing her project GOLDMINER—an anthropological approach to understanding the practices of artists. To date, she has documented the practices of over 100 artists in New York, Berlin, Los Angeles, Buenos Aires, Chicago and San Francisco. The project will launch this spring at thegoldminerproject.com featuring visits with Tauba Auerbach, Diana Al-Hadid, David Humphrey, Jim Shaw, Carol Bove, Nick Cave, Matias Duville, and Dana Schutz, among many others. Her work has been exhibited widely in New York and across the U.S., including at the Neuberger Museum of Art (Purchase, NY), the Bronx Museum of the Arts (NY), and the Weatherspoon Art Museum (Greensboro, North Carolina). Her photography has been featured in Art and Auction, artinfo.com, Modern Painters, Chicago Art Magazine, and The Art Newspaper. Her painting has been featured in The New York Times, Cultural Politics, Metropolis, and in the books The Map as Art (Kitty Harmon,Princeton Architectural Press) and Virilio Now: Current Perspectives in Virilio Studies (ed. John Armitage, Polity Press). Trigg is currently a contributing photographer for Modern Painters magazine.

GOLDMINER (http://thegoldminerproject.com/) is seeking an intern for the dates of August 4 to August 31 to assist with the photo shoots at artists' studios and for light administrative duties associated with the project. 15-20 hours per week. Intern will be trained about photography lighting. No previous photography knowledge necessary but experience with Photoshop and updating websites helpful.
