ECOSYSTEM: NIA EASLEY, NORMAN LONG, NNENNA OKORE

Ecosystem: Nia Easley, Norman Long, Nnenna Okore presents the work of these three 2018-2019 RaD Lab+Outside the Walls fellows. Each artist invited writers to respond to their practices as part of the culmination of their two years of community-engaged research and presentations.

As Threewalls Executive Director Jeffreen M. Hayes, Ph.D. writes in her publication note:

“Though they have their individual practices and interests, there is a particular synergy between their work: the movement of people, their connection to place
and the environment. The impact of the ways in which humans think and act in relationship to each other and the environment/place/land reverberates across and through time and space.

Nia’s, Norman’s, and Nnenna’s projects offer informed meditations on this, informed by not only their personal experiences, but also the experiences of their respective neighbors and what exists in traditional research documents
and archives.”
