Threewalls’ Starwalker gala celebrated our 11 year anniversary in Chicago!

In 2014, Mana Contemporary Chicago hosted an outdoor bash, featuring performances by Miami-born, Brooklyn-based artist Helado Negro and Chicago-based footwork prodigy DJ Earl (Teklife).

Shipping containers arranged around the perimeter of the party were installed with installations of contemporary art curated by some of Chicago’s most innovative galleries, curators, and organizations, including:

2nd Floor Rear
LVL3/The Arts of Life
Danny Orendorff
Sixty Inches from Center/Autotelic Studios/The Perch
The Franklin
No Coast
Queer Thoughts
The Salon Series

VIP guests enjoyed an intimate dinner on the fifth floor of Mana Contemporary Chicago, in a space designed by Danish-born, Chicago-based artist Lise Haller Baggeson. They each received wearable works commissioned from Chicago artists: Lauren Anderson, Mike Andrews, Phyllis BramsonLaura Davis, Aay Preston-Myint, Kate Ruggeri, Allison WadeEdmund Chia & David Salkin, Robert Burnier and Aza Quinn-Brauner, and Gunnatowski (Karolina Gnatowski & Dan Gunn).

VIP guests also had the opportunity to bid on exceptional works of art by Faith Wilding, William J. O’Brien, and Rebecca Morris; mouthwatering culinary opportunities from Nico Osteria and Soho House New York; and luxurious hospitality packages from the Thompson Hotel, the United Center, and a private yacht.

Special thanks to Threewalls’ board of directors and event co-chairs Joshua Rogers and Ron Huberman.
