2012 Propeller Fund Awardee Lucky Pierre as Lucky Pierre Free University (LPFU) presents The Sky Is Falling. The Money’s All Gone., a 10-week seminar in which L.P.F.U. facilitators and participants will create responses to themes of environmental and economic fragility.

The Sky is Falling. The Money’s All Gone. is a year-long project by Lucky Pierre exploring the consequences of unchecked growth (natural, industrial and economic) while working with artists to respond to and work against despair in an era of seemingly permanent crisis and ongoing collapse. In response to the continuing growth of the corporatized neoliberal art school/university, Lucky Pierre has initiated Lucky Pierre Free University (L.P.F.U.) a self-organized, collaborative research and learning project. Using the Propeller exhibition space as their classroom, this in-person course will include invited participants/collaborators, guest speakers, assignments, readings, and discussions. At the conclusion of the course Lucky Pierre with the class participants and invited guests will host a community teach-in and presentation open to the public.Concurrent with the seminar, Lucky Pierre will present an exhibition of generated outcomes from their work with Live Art Development Agency (UK) in collaboration with 12 international artists in the fall of 2014.
