“The Feeling and Movement of Place” explores how artistic engagements with place become complicated by movement, including migration and dislocation, as well as feelings around cultural authenticity and belonging. In addition, it also considers how cultural production and place-making intersect with the politics of citizenship, community activism, as well as history, time, and memory. The panel includes short presentations by artists Rozalinda Borcila, Maria Gaspar, Faheem Majeed, and Josh Rios and a discussion moderated by art historian and Borderland Collective member Erina Duganne.
