Peregrine Bermas and Abena Motaboli present "Wayfinding: Collective Love Rituals" North Park Village Nature Center, 5801 N Pulaski Rd, Chicago, IL 60646 Join Interdisciplinary artists Abena Motaboli and Peregrine Bermas for an intimate workshop on wayfinding through collective love rituals. This workshop will be a space for collective care, healing, and nourishing together. Centered on their shared connection to land, belonging, and healing, the artists will explore ideas surrounding All About Love by Bell Hooks, Netflix documentary In Our Mothers' Garden, and the poem Ancestors and I by Tori Ashley Matos. Interdisciplinary artists Abena Motaboli and Peregrine Bermas have been in conversation as comrades, artists, and dear friends.Their work harmonizes at the locus of belonging, healing, and land. Through their shared diasporic and immigrant backgrounds, they engage deeply in reciprocal relationships with the land - reminding us to remember where we come from, and honor the work of our matriarchs and lineage through the soils.
