Betelhem Makonnen
Bio
Betelhem Makonnen is an artist from Ethiopia, based in Austin, Texas. Her practice, which includes photography, video, and installation, translates perception, memory, and place through anthropological, philosophic, and historical inquiries. She holds an MFA from the School of Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) and co-curates the Addis Video Art Festival.
